Economic Development Advisory
Featured Project: Economic Development Plan for the City of El Monte
​​
This project, done with Kosmont Companies, involved preparing an Economic Development Plan which built upon the City of El Monte's existing General Plan, it's Economic Development Element, and key stakeholder input. The purpose of the Economic Development Plan was to evaluate existing demographic information and retail/office/industrial market conditions and identify and prioritize strategic areas to successfully promote economic development within the City of El Monte. This plan was adopted by the City Council of the City of El Monte through resolution on May 16, 2017.

Economic Development Marketing

In this section, you will find marketing collateral I have designed for public clients that highlight various opportunity sites ideal for development. Additionally, I have included a marketing piece I produced for Kosmont Companies that serves as a guide on what is and how to form an Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (EIFD). These EIFDs are a new economic development tool approved by the State of California that serve as an alternative to the former redevelopment agencies in terms of funding economic development and infrastructure projects. Development Prospectus
Project: Ralph Brooks Park
Philadelphia, PA

This project, undertaken by JDT International Inc., is a public/private neighborhood revitalization project that involves the rehabilitation of a city park, the construction of low-income housing on city-owned lots surrounding the park, the construction of a multi-purpose kiosk, and the development of an urban garden.

Here you will find examples of the work I have done for the City of Philadelphia Mayor's Office of Transportation and Utilities. My Master's thesis titled "The Impact of Education and Enforcement Initiatives on Cyclist, Motorist, and Pedestrian Travel Behaviors: An Evaluation of Philadelphia's 'Give Respect, Get Respect' Program" is an evaluation of an education-enforcement program undertaken in the summer of 2011. Undergraduate Thesis​​
Title: "Keeping the Planners Promise: The Impact of Building for Olympic Events on the Social and Economic Demography of the City"
Princeton University, 2010

This paper examined the impact of the Summer Olympic Games on the economic growth of the host city. The study used Los Angeles 1984 and Sydney 2000 as case studies to determine whether their host city status contributed to or deterred from economic growth in the time periods immediately preceding and following the Olympic Games.
